Hiking

Discover the Côte Bleue

The area around the campsite offers many opportunities for walks and hikes. The route goes up and down, so whether you’re walking or cycling, put on your trainers instead of thongs. And remember to bring your water bottle!

Exploring the natural setting

Follow the coastal path that will take you to Carro, passing by the lighthouse and the Verdon beach at La Couronne. During your walk you will be able to discover Côte Bleue’s terrestrial and marine fauna and flora, with the help of educational panels that line the path. Want to go further inland? Walk the Boumandariel loop (5.5 km) in the hills, which are home to reed beds, a protected natural habitat for many birds. For those with more endurance, the Grande boucle du Cap Couronne (24.5 km) combines the two previous trails and invites you to explore the natural setting, as well as geological, archaeological and historical curiosities.

Guided calanques exploration

In summer, the campsite invites you to explore the creeks on foot with our guide, Jacques (with registration). Meet up in the morning in the reception area and carpool to the departure point chosen by our adventurer. Remember your swimsuit as there will be a swim during the walk. You will be back at the campsite for lunch.

Bike rides

If you prefer cycling, you can take the greenway to the centre of La Couronne, the cycle path to Sausset-les-Pins along the coast, or the cycle path to Martigues, via the Col de La Gatasse.
